I am Jessi from Berlin and right now traveling around the world. I quit my boring office job in a bank and that was best decision in my life. I decided to go traveling and just see where my life will take one day. I was so excited going on a long solo travel and it was much better than I could imagine. I didn’t rush and just saw what was happening. I met so many amazing people during my travel, made friends in all continents and made memories that will last forever. I traveled in Asia for 6 months and my absolute favorite country was India. For me this country is special, feels magical and tought me so much.

Right now I am exploring Australia. I always wanted to try couchsurfing so I am really happy that I made my first great couchsurfing experience there. It’s a great opportunity to get to know great people so I hope I get other chances in the future as well. When I am back home I definitely wanna host guests as well.

After my trip I start working on a cruise ship and continue traveling the world. I am really exited about that and that’s a new chapter for me. I like to pack my backpack, go on roadtrips, explore cities and also traveling with cruise ships. So doesn’t matter which way of traveling as long I can travel. :-)

I like to explore countries that are challenging and different from home. I have the feeling you can learn so much there! Two years ago I also worked in China for a few months at a tutor for students and that was such a great and different experience for me.

I really like to be at the at water. For me the ocean radiate peace. I love to sail and have a sailing and a motor boat license. I got my diving license in Indonesia during my big trip and since than also startet to discover under water. I also tried surfing a few times and think I did quit well. Yoga is a think I like as well.
I would love to learn salsa. That will be my next project I think. :-)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I traveled to many places in the last months and met so many amazing people in hostels. I wanna try couchsurfing to make new experiences and meet lovely locals to spend a nice time with. I love this concept of giving and giving back to others because of the kindness of the people.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I always like to make new memories and go on adventures.
- In India I joined a real Indian wedding
- In Australia I slept in Kakadu Nationalpark under the sky full of stars without a tent, did skydiving in Cairns and saw kangaroos at the beach for sunrise in Cape Hillsborough.
- In China I climbed a Mountain with 8000 stairs and traveled trough Gansu province in the west to the rainbow mountains and the Goby desert
- New Years Eve in Hong Kong
- In Kenya I did a safari and saw the sunrise in front of the Kilimandscharo with hundreds of zebras and elephants
- At the Seychelles I met a huge wild turtle at a lonely beach
- In Fiji I dived with Bullsharks🦈
- In a town close to Chicago I sang with a band in a pub and I am a really bad singer, honestly! 😄
- At the Maldives I saw the most beautiful beach I could ever imagine
