i'm jess, i write songs, and i like to travel. this is my first trip abroad, i'll be in Europe for six months.
i'd describe myself as an extroverted introvert. chameleons and whale sharks are my favorite animals, and my favorite color is grey. i really like journaling and the ambiance of coffee shops, and i have a newly acquired love for mountains. i grew up near the beach so I will always prefer the coast over big cities. i like to thrift and buy second hand. i love going to concerts and seeing music come to life. and I played soccer for 11 years

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

for the next six months, i will be traveling throughout Europe. i wanted to try couchsurfing because one of my travel friends had positive experiences with it, and because i need to do this trip on a budget. i've stayed at hostels before and i plan on relying mainly on hostels this time around, but you don't always make friends at hostels, and they aren't always the most welcoming places. so i wanted to try something new. because meeting people is my favorite thing to do, and in doing that, i gain perspective, which is very important to me. my main goal with this trip is to find myself, meet people, make friends and acquaintances, experience different cultures, and see parts of the world that have either only ever existed to me through a screen, or that i never knew existed at all. i really just want to do this to step out of my comfort zone. i want stories to tell when i get home and i want to experience the kindness of strangers and return it!!

i am a very easy going, easy to please person. so i will be grateful to have a place to stay for a day or two. i'm very open minded! i love adventures and random experiences and creating memories with strangers. my willingness to try new things is what i think i can share. we could exchange stories about life and travel and learn new things from each other :)
