Born in South Africa, grew up in the states, and also an Irish citizen (though this will be my first visit there).

I travel quite often, but prefer couch surfing/AirBnBing rather than hotels to get the full experience of a place. Nonprofit work is rewarding but doesn't pay enough to cover accommodations for everywhere I travel.

I value spontaneity, meeting new people, exploring the nooks and hidden gems of a city, and any kind of performance art (musicals, concerts, etc).
