Hi, g'day, hola!

My name is Jess, and I am ADDICTED to travel. A year ago I spent 9 months backpacking the world and meeting fabulous people, and this year I decided to uproot (again!) and move to Palma, Mallorca to teach English. Whilst I'm here I'm meeting so many interesting people and (of course) wanting to travel around as much as possible. This time, for the first time, I'm doing it solo so it's especially fun to meet people via couchsurfing who can show me some secret spots, and we can hopefully have a friendship for life!

I LOVE the outdoors, food, animals, and learning about culture and traditions. I'm learning spanish so would love to practise with you as well!

While travelling I want to have an authentic experience, meet locals, share stories and make new friends.

When I've travelled before, I travelled as a tourist. the big tour groups, staying in hotels, using tripadvisor...all very fun but now I want it to be different! I want to travel like a local. Show me your town! let me know what it's like to be you, living where you live :)

Ideally I would like to try and stay at least two nights so I have a chance to get to know you! the only time I'll ask for one night is if I'm in a sticky situation and need some help!

FOOOD!!!!! good food is just the most amazing. also really into health and fitness.
Anything where I'm learning something new, meeting new friends, experiencing new things. Very open minded and adventurous - always happy to try whatever is put in front of me, food, experiences, conversations etc... especially anything outdoorsy. Except bungy jumping. no. uh uh. never. will not do bungy jumping!

I have just read Tarzan of the apes and it was the best book ever! I'm in love! other than that, Moulin Rouge is hands down the best movie ever. Plus the Shawshank Redemption! OH! and there is an indian movie called Barfi..... please try and find it and watch it!!! it is so beautiful! oh and the Intouchables, a french film, also so beautiful. Seriously, too many good films that I love!!

Music? anything that's going!! love a heavy bass to go dancing to, also beautiful classical music, instrumental, anything that has a history and a culture I love to listen to and appreciate... any music is just beautiful, the world needs music!
