Do the D.A.N.C.E.
I'm Esther. I love the idea of this community, that CS is.
I want to be good at cooking and I'm writing down the good meals I've had.
I love to have a party, I love spontaneous parties, they're often the best. Dancing is the best part of a party. Especially when I'm doing it with my eyes closed and biting my lip, 8 am.
I like to ride bike in a big town. There's something relaxing to it. And you see things better than if you were in a car, but you don't have to dwell on every detail like when you walk.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I surfed Berlin, where our hosts helped us a lot in the search of an apartment.
In the States I surfed ten states by my self and with my girls and yehaw that's some good times with good people.
In Poland I met my best friends through CS, a tandem partner and a place to live.
In Copenhagen I've hosted people who taught me good music, skating and dancing.
My interest lies in learning new skills. But I'm not so good at keeping up the interest. I tend to loose the passion. I actually need to find the one thing, that just does it for me. Another interest is discovering Copenhagen.
Music, Movies, and Books
I like danish and german movies, a good old fashioned action movie, especially when somebody is running away from somebody, like the Bourne movies. Actually I like anything for the right moment. "Juno" is a good movie. "Drive" is too.I find tv-shows quite entertaining. Flight Of The Conchords is cool, so is Mad Men, Boardwalk Empire and Twin Peaks.I tend to be quite "floating" in my taste of music. I've had a crush on everything from pink bubble gum pop to cocaine sniffing glamour rock. It's like my taste of movies, what ever suits the moment. At the moment I listen to Cat Power, The Xx, Prince, Timbre Timber, Jenny Wilson and Jurassic 5. Berlin also gave me a crush on techno music, but I guess it suits Berlin best. When it comes to books, I read what's on my bookshelf. Vintage books are often quite cheap in my hometown. I've bought enough. The last books I read were: Jack Kerouac "On the Road", Fitzgerald "The Great Gatsby", Emily Bronte "Wuthering Heights", Herman Bang "Tine", John Steinbeck "East of Eden" was amazing!!
