Hi everyone, I'm Jim. I grew up with a big family who came from the Deep South to California.

I'm self taught with music and went from just making noise in a basement to playing guitar in hundreds of cities, saxophone in jazz bands, and bass in funk and hawaiian reggae bands. I'm always doing something with music whether it be singing, drumming, programming, or just collecting instruments.

I live with my girlfriend and cat in the North Park neighborhood in San Diego. It's near this little downtown area with a bus stop right next to us. We love meeting travelers and learning about their culture, but sometimes our cat can be closed minded so I apologize if she hides during most of your stay :P

Quiet hours in our apartment are at 10pm so please try to show up before 8pm. We have an open living room with a couple air mattresses, a couch, sleeping pads, blankets, pillows, etc. You can sleep-in and rest for as long as you want but I might make some noise in the kitchen in the morning.

Feel free to send a request and if it works out, just come as you are and I can share a bunch of food and musical instruments with you ha :)
