I am interested in film, literature, good conversation, puzzling the political machinations of our day, chess, camping, hiking, urban hiking, kayaking, sailing, swimming, cycling, all kinds of music but especially jazz, people who are excited about life, who make me think, who have a sense of humor (which really means, people who appreciate my sense of humor). I love to travel, to wander across a city I don't know, to take a bus without knowing where it goes...to meet strangers and discuss whatever. I'm working on reading the great books, and attaining my absurd goal of seeing the whole world before I die;I am now up to 193 countries. Love wine, beer, spice, coffee, BBQ, tapas, sushi, churrascaria, Thai food, Ethiopian food, Indian food, Middle Eastern food, French food, Japanese food, Peruvian food, Philippine food, the diversity of food...forests, mountains, jungles, deserts, desserts--ah! cheesecake--rivers, the sea, rooftops, sofatops...ellipses...
