ABOUT ME

Well, well, well, I'm Leo with a lot of love for my life support system and spend as much time as possible hiking long distances with minimal supplies.

I'm addicted to new ideas and learning. A "philosophy spelunker" I dive into new ideas, practices and thoughts with my whole being.

I practice Aikido through a local Aikikai dojo and enjoying constantly having my ass handed to me by 12 year old students.

PHILOSOPHY

The molecules that make me at this moment have never come together ever in the 4.5 billion year history of this planet. During this lifetime they have and I am making the most of this collaboration between carbon, hydrogen, magnesium, etc..

CouchSurfing was great while I was traveling in Europe and I've hosted more then a few wary travels.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies - Let's face it I'm a junkie when it comes to movies both fiction and non-fiction. I love a good movie. Here's the spectrum all time favourite, Shawshank Redemption, most depressing Requiem for a Dream and my favourite recent movie would be the Fighter.

Reading: I'm a voracious reader and at the moment have 5 on the go. I read Shibumi at least once a year and is one of the only books I've read more then once. Last count I read it was read 18 I think.

Music: Listening to shuffle on my ipod is for me the world's greatest radio station jumping from accents for actors, to system of a down to james taylor to Stanton Warriors to Foo Fighters to Regina Spektor to NPR Wait Wait don't tell me.. I love music and I think it loves me.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Walked on superheated coals, hiked to the base of Mt Everest and slept in snow caves in -68 Celsius temperatures.

Teach, Learn, Share

As a dyslexic suffering from o.l.d. or obessive learning disorder there's so much I learn on a daily basis. For example today Jan 29 2011 I so far learned about a way to evict gophers from holes, a new gingerbread recipe, why I like to write with ballpoint pens so much, another application of compost when topdressed on lawns, reasons why food prices will double in 2011 and it's 3:21pm and I woke at 11am.
