Hello everyone!

My name is João. A Brazilian man from Rio de Janeiro. A Vasco da Gama's fan if football matters for you as for me.

I already came back to my town after expending a year and a few months in Asia as a backpacker and always volunteering. After this experience I believe it is my time to help people that need a place just to slow down and calm down during the trip. (Yeah).

Actually I live in the neighborhood named Bangu, the most hottest place in town in so many ways. Only here you can check it out. No beaches around but many waterfalls and trails if you join this.
You can come by train and bus wherever you are in town, easy.

This Neighborhood it is not a touristic place so there are many "favelas" around with differents owners. My favela is called "Vila Kennedy". (Yeah the ex American president)

If you don't use to see guns, drugs around, and hear shots sometimes, this place shows it to you but also it shows the most warm people with hugs and kisses that you are not expecting to receive. The real Brazilians from Rio, you will have the chance to go so deep in the culture that this is gonna change your eyes about Rio. It is so much love that you will only understand staying here. Be ready!

About me I speak Portuguese, Spanish and English. I work as a Uber in town with my motorbike. I love to play music to do yoga to share experiences, hang out and help travellers as I am. Nature it is my new love, beaches and waterfalls. I go to every game of Vasco but I also enjoy the rivals games if you want to.

My house, it is a small house with a room with double single beds. The kitchen and the living are together, only one bathroom and a yard with a couch that became a bed. (Safe if you like to sleep looking to the sky)

I live alone, I can receive until 3 people. You can cook and keep your food in the fridge if necessary.
