ABOUT ME Originally from London, I moved up to Leeds a few years ago to work as a journalist. Without this sounding to much like a personal ad, I like going out for a beer, cooking, going to the gym (well to be honest I dont like that, I just do it!) and, to state the blindingly obvious, I love new places, new people and new experiences... Wouldn't be here otherwise! Having just brought an apartment, I've necessarily had to clip my travelling wings for a few years... So I thought, if I can't head to far flung and exotic parts of the world and meet the people who live there, I'll invite them round to my place! PHILOSOPHY Try anything. Twice. If you can't be a good example then at least be a horrible warning.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING Happy to put someone up in central Leeds for a few nights... Can offer at least a sofa/mattress - occasionally the spare room COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE Have hosted and given tours, always with very positive outcomes... While I've slept on my fair share of sofas (what British people call a couch!) I've never formally organised it before... Generally been post party necessity rather than design!
One Amazing Thing I've Done
Sunrise and sunset in Rio. The size of the steaks in Buenos Aires. Being mobbed by around 2000 while filming in India... Not necessarily enjoyable but certainly eye opening!
