Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Interests

I'm originally from Bavaria and been living in the city of Munich for quite a long time, even though I spent some time abroad previously. I mostly work from home in an IT company, but have a degree in Chinese studies.

I enjoy going to hiking trips in the Alps on weekends in the summer, and cross country skiing or sledding in winter. I also enjoy (acro)yoga and trying out different sports, be it dancing, bouldering or zumba (depending on my mood, I'm not a pro at any of them). Most of the time I will have some kind of trip planned that I'm looking forward to. I especially like travelling to East and Southeast Asia, but always open and curious for new regions.

I don't have pets but would like to have cats again at some point.

Being outdoors is important to me, but I also enjoy my home and value my peace and quiet. When I'm home, I like to watch crime thrillers or baking shows, read or listen to podcasts. Depending on my energy level I also like to cook and bake myself.

I love learning languages and generally I like to explore cultures, history, museums and archeological sites.
Here and there I enjoy going to concerts, comedy shows, exhibitions, theater or movie festivals.

I'm not much into crowds, group activities, nightlife and drinking and not available for dating. I value quiet conversations with educated and thoughtful people with a non discriminatory mindset, environmental awareness and democratic, egalitarian values who are able to hold complexity and not caught in black or white thinking.

If you want to be hosted by me I will do my best to accommodate you but I most likely won't be able to change my schedule or routines to fully be with you so I appreciate for you to have your own plans at hand and not rely on me as a guide or organiser. Also I won't host anyone who sends AI generated messages ;)
