About Me

CURRENT MISSION
Learn and laugh as much as humanly possible.

ABOUT ME
Kindness, community, and the privilege to travel are what fuel me. I have an insatiable thirst for learning and suspect that everyone carries a backpack of wisdom (a relatively small number of people may have just momentarily lost this metaphoric backpack when it rolled off the top of a small bus, while said metaphoric bus was rolling through a country with lots of turns and bumps in the road). Wait, what?
I usually want to laugh, dance (unless song lyrics grate on me), or just be by myself walking around taking photos or reading a clever book. I enjoy being around most human animals and non-human ones (cats, dogs, whales, capybara, flamingoes, you name it). I believe that no one fits neatly into a paragraph or a box (except cats), and I’m drawn to people—and art—that mix humor, seriousness, and just enough absurdity to keep life interesting.

PHILOSOPHY
For personal and community connection, I think it’s healthy to act in ways that promote learning, fairness, and understanding. I also make sure that I don't take myself too seriously (see above about laughing and absurdity).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I feel lucky that each CS experience I've had has been pretty great in its own unique way. I find it to be a generally terrific community of people who are kind, thoughtful, and genuinely want to have conversations and enjoy a little moment of life together—some have remained friends for ages.

Interests

For better or worse, I may be interested in too many things. Some interests include improving my Spanish, photography, hiking whenever/wherever, and as always, travel to anywhere.
