Overview
About Me
Hey there,
I am an Bachelors in Economics , Bachelors in International Relations and International organizations graduate and International Politics and International Security (IR) post graduate student at a Reserch University. I born and raised in India until I complete my graduation. I am from Kerala, the southern most state of the Indian Union.
I started travelling when I was 17 which I always loved to do, but my situations was not in favour of me exploring places until I stepped out for myself because of unavoidable scenarios. I travelled to 19 states out of 28 in India, and also reached out about 27 countries across 4 Continents in the world. More than just being a traveller there are some things which I am passionate about, which is not limited to playing Football, running Marathons, Photography, Cooking and Academics majorly. You can reach out or check my potraits on my instagram @the_tzigane.
Afterall I am highly motivated to break the stereotypes and stepping out of comfort zone to reach out what we are needed or what we need to attain as a whole. As I come from a traditional and orthadox society it applies me well in a greater amount. Adventures and challenges are my true motivators in life. Being unique and finding different ways to make things out of it is my own way to do it.
I find myself as an open person who get excited at other people stories, as well I welcomes the criticism and correction. Accept everything in the way if that could not be changed is my mantra. I always look forward to enlarge my circle across the world. I believe the humanity and brotherhood survive and cherish with human connection and bond which should be shared and propagated without limits and borderless. I enjoy connecting with people and they are always welcome to my home. There is a space and a meal ready for them everytime.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Couch Surfing turned out to be the biggest pioneer for my travels. As a student from India did 9am-4pm school until graduation was a quite barrier to do work and earn. So we all finish our studies as broke Individuals. But it doesnt prevent me from travelling. Couch surfing became me shoulder to rely on when I was in need. It absolutely provided me bed whenever I travelled. It makes my journes still going on, and Couch Surfing provided me with some very good people out of the world.
I just dont want to stop it and move when I am done with staying at a place. I want to see myself in other travellers who came across to my city or where I live. I want to be the person who extended hand for me when I was in need. I cant forget an officer in North India stops his car when I was hitch hiking. He drops me exactly where I want also forced me to accept money from him which could help me survive 5 days smoothly. Also a truck driver I spent whole 2 days who bring me to his home gave me meals, provided sleeping space eventhough we couldnt even understand a single word as of different languages we spoke. Also many more wider experiences including the Young guy Ryans who saved me in Africa, a very polite wonderful man named Dimitri who came all the way to airport to pick me up and saved me when I was stranded in Boston. These are just few among many moments I found the people do good for nothing and I wanted to do more than I get. Couchsurfing is something I see as a platform with great potential to do that so far.
Not just providing them a place to stay or sleep. Exchanging cultures, stories, hobbies, experiences, also learning things are a very big part of my couch surfing. Also I love to find it as an option to cook for others which I love, but limited to very less oppurtunity regarding the surroundings I live. I welcome people from every part of the world and I let them to decorate a small part in the short life.
