A little about me! I am a Mathematics (biomed minor) graduate of Vrije Universiteit where I did my thesis on Phylogenetics. I am originally from Los Angeles, where I used to study Film and Screenwriting, which is actually how I wound up in Amsterdam. Currently pursuing my masters in Bioinformatics. What I enjoy most of my travels are the historical sights, nature, and of course the food :). I also enjoy learning local customs and cuisine. My last major adventure was a cycling trip from Amsterdam to Prague, which took 14 days (2 days of rest) and ~1115 km in 2021. I can teach you how to sail a boat and patch a tire if you ever find yourself in that situation. I have quite a few hobbies, changing every now and then, but the ones that remain the most consistent are singing karaoke, running, writing, and cooking, sometimes even good cooking. :D

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
What I remember the most on my travels are of course the experiences, but also the people I met along the way. I always make a point to stay in touch and give back to those that have been kind to me and been part of my adventures.

One Amazing Thing I've Done
There are a couple cool things I've done, but you can find those out when you meet me! I once caught a wild Alaskan Salmon with my bare hands (bear hands?) when I was 8 years old. I also did a standup show for the first time after years of saying I was going to try it, and wound up performing in front of 100 people with some professional comedians. i also founded the first ever onsite radio station on my university campus :D
Teach, Learn, Share
I love to teach how to write stories and learn new facts, regardless of how small or big they may be. Sharing stories and culture is something I always hope to achieve when I meet someone here.
