ABOUT ME

I said I can speak Inuit and Interlingua expertly, but that is a lie. I have lived mainly in the Pacific Northwest, growing up in rural Eastern Washington, then off to school in the northwest corner of the state to go to WWU in Bellingham. Finally, I made it down to Oregon for grad-school. I was clever enough to take a year and a half off to hang out in Seattle, the East Coast, and I did a couple tours of Europe. That was a good idea. Now I live in Stockholm, Sweden (need to update profile!). It's pretty great in every way. I miss craft beer and mountians, but other than that, it looks much like Seattle here.

PHILOSOPHY

Live, sleep, love, and eat well. Don't kill things. Don't be afraid to debate. Stop voting for the worst and most evil people in the world to be our leaders. Go camping, not to the mall. Don't buy crap. Avoid plastic and Prozac. Kiss more, hug more. Go (wherever) naked more [but don't worry, I don't sleep naked].

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I don't really like the idea of going to a city and not meeting new people. I guess I'm also cheap. Regardless, I am pretty excited to share my space with others, from time to time. I also want to find some time to crash on other peoples couches.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've had different people stay at my place over the years, some from CS. Friends are always crashing over (from around the Pacific Northwest or beyond), but CS friends from America and the world have stayed over and it has been a fantastic experience. CS is such a simple and beautiful idea: you are forced to meet people that ENJOY meeting people. I'll always be a part of CS.

Interests

Snowboarding, the outdoors, talking politics, holding political coups, hanging out with friends (family isn't bad from time to time), drinking trendy pretentious micro-brews, talking about trendy pretentious micro-brews (Go Northwest!), and, uh, baklava. There are other things!
