Overview
About Me
I'm Jordan, an Entrepreneur, Photographer and Traveler based in Toronto.
I've been active on here for about a year now and have had nothing but great experiences. It's been an absolute pleasure seeing my hometown with new eyes and sharing spontaneous adventures and expansive conversations with the wildly diverse group of travelers who've surfed by.
I'm an optimist and idealist. I love to bring ideas from concept to reality though entrepreneurship, compose stunning and surreal images, create events and rich experiences, fly small aircraft, travel overland by motorcycle and learn about absolutely everything. I cherish my time on this strange little space rock and spend as much of it as I can doing things that bring me joy and fulfillment, surrounded by people who amaze me.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Even before I discovered couchsurfing I had many of my greatest travel experiences with locals in the places I was visiting. I'm simply here seeking more great experiences with friendly people from around the world.
Interests
My interests are extremely diverse, here are a few:
Camping / Outdoors, Cars, Motorcycles, Travel, Flying, Photography, Business, Writing, Tech Stuff, Astronomy, Physics, Psychology, Neuroscience, Pharmacology and Science in general, Fitness, Personal Development, Futurology, Burning Man, Meeting interesting people, Conversation, Debate.
Music, Movies, and Books
Music:
I listen mostly to electronic music these days, Instrumental Deep House, Downtempo, Chill Step, Dub Reggae and so on. I particularly enjoy electronic music with instrumentals and stuff with a more uplifting mood, i.e. not so much into the Tech House that's very popular right now.
I also like Classic Rock, Classical, Folk, Jazz, Bluegrass and almost any kind of live show.
Books:
I read mainly non-fiction: philosophy, psychology, behavioural economics, lot's of science books, probably more marketing and business books in the near future. The last book I read was "Waking up by Sam Harris" (about meditation from a secular / rational perspective. The next one will be "Mating in captivity" by Esther Perel
Movies;
A few favorites that come to mind are Encounters at the end of the World, Lilja-4-Ever, Old Boy, The Princess Bride, Before Sunrise & Before Sunset, Magnolia.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I had the opportunity to fly a gorgeous high performance aircraft from Toronto to Burning Man in Nevada. Flying low over and through the rockies in the most amazing weather with sun shining through layers of clouds creating hundreds of sunbeams and rainbows, slaloming around localized thunderstorms and skimming over snow covered peaks.

I'm also good with cars and all sorts of mechanical and electrical problem solving. If I'm traveling with Photography gear I can also offer you nice portrait or some great photos of that thing you want to sell.
