A ripple that runs along side you, as the oars dive and your precise but forceful movements drive forward your waking vessel. The most memorable was here in Tasmania, at the Walls of Jerusalem. Waking up very early to hike for water and watching the sun burst through clouds and the racing mist bubbling off the lake in those first warming rays.
