I'm a Colorado native who is absolutely in love with my home state. What's not to love? Mountains, beer, kind people, snowboarding, etc. That being said, I wish I could spend my entire life finding new places. There is nothing I enjoy more in life than meeting new people. I'm not someone who is "trying to make the world a happier place" or spread love throughout the world per say, but I draw energy from social situations, and I love connecting with people and learning what they like and who they are.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I first heard of Couchsurfing years ago in college and am just now getting around to using it. For not reason other than I've mostly used friends and hostels when traveling. I just started a job recently though, that is allowing me to travel all throughout the US and occasionally abroad. Because of this, and the fact that I have a 4-day work week, I've made a point of extending my trips whenever I'm in a cool place. Now we use travel agents and what not, so I could easily just get hotels, often at discounted rates, but I would so much rather stay with a local, make a new friend and get a must cooler perspective on the city.

Outdoors activities. Hiking, camping, backpacking (which is basically the first two combined), snowboarding, etc.

I love music and fill almost all of my alone time with it. I used to play guitar but have really gotten away from any interest in playing, but listening to and watching live music is something I've always loved. It doesn't hurt that Colorado has the best live music venue in the world in Red Rocks Amphitheater.

As stated before, friendships and meeting people are my one true interest. I appreciate my time alone now that I've grown up a little, but my number one interest is spending time with people.

Music...not death metal. I find interest in some part of almost every other genre and alternative rock and country are probably my favorite.

My favorite movie is Love Actually. That's not necessarily a reflection on the rest of my top movies but if I had to pick one, that would be it.

My all time favorite book is "Before I Sleep...The Last Days of Dr. Tom Dooley."

I judge people. How's that for open-mindedness? Haha. I believe that everyone judges everyone. It's not possible not to. It's a survival skill and it's something that happens so quickly you can't stop it. I also do not think people who act on false judgement are necessarily bad. There is nothing wrong, in my opinion, with recognizing race, gender, age, disabilities and the other things that make us unique. And the type of judgments that follow are merely an unconscious reaction to life experiences. Where I pride myself and where I gain or lose respect for others is in the ability to acknowledge this fact and being willing to look past it to find out if you're right or not.
