I’m Josh, 29 and I grew up a small seaside village in the south east of Ireland. I grew up with a 5 minute walk to the beach. So naturally, the ocean runs through my existence.

I started traveling when I was young, I moved to the Netherlands when I was 19 and lived there for some years. I did a bit of travel then, but now I’m on a mission, and it’s to travel to every (UN recognized) country the world.

I can say I’ve been traveling for four years now without returning home, I have also been working along the way in some countries (e.g Thailand, Malaysia, Japan)

I will now reach a major milestone in my life, and that’s traveling to 50 countries. I’m hoping for the next few years to keep traveling to different continents and regions of the world. I’ve set my plans for 5/6 more years to travel everywhere before finally returning to Ireland.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The main reason of course is to meet people, but so I can also have deeper conversations to learn about your culture and history and so you can learn about Ireland.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Scuba Diving literally changed my life completely. After doing it randomly on a holiday in Tenerife, I came out of the ocean knowing it’s all I’ve want to do for the rest of my life. So now I travel the world because scuba diving changed something in me.

I’m also a chef, so maybe I can teach you how to cook something. I work in japan as a chef cooking Chinese food.
