About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Figuring out in which direction to head with my life. And enjoying it at the same time!

ABOUT ME

Curious, friendly, outgoing.

And: "They say home is a place you can choose to be, and I've decided to carry home inside of me. So it's not really as if I am leaving, it's more like something pulling me.....In my heart I belong in a house by the sea." (Passenger)

PHILOSOPHY

As Gregory David Roberts wrote: "Every human heart beat is a universe of possibilities."
So just do it.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have couchsurfed a lot, mainly in the Balkans but also in western Europe, Tunesia, Georgia and some other places. And I hosted in Vienna.
Love it!

Interests

Traveling! And I love music, dancing, green, ice cream, the smell of freshly cut grass and frangipani, the sound of the ocean, walking barefoot in warm sand, pandas and horses, getting off an airplane and suddenly being somewhere else - and coming home.

"Robert Goheen has remarked, 'if you feel that you have both feet planted on level ground, then the university has failed you.' Right on. But then who wants to be planted on ground? There are places to go." (Amartya Sen)

...travelling, mainly. Meeting people (while travelling, often). Dancing. Green. Citylife, countryside. Running. Reading. ... .

Music, Movies & Books

Oh dear. The first ones that come to mind: Goethe, Gregory David Roberts, Brecht, Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, Arundhati Roy

One Amazing Thing I've Done

The last amazing thing was being in Tunesia for a month, including the south, and NOT giving in to camel ride offers ;)

Teach, Learn, Share

Interacting with people is the best way for me to learn - about anything. So what are we waiting for?
