About Me

CURRENT MISSION

My passion is live theatre - though I have to put on a number of 'pot-boilers' my prefered style - constantly trying to develop - lies between Grotowski, Arianne Mnouchkine and Peter Brook

ABOUT ME

elderly,(physically) hopefully not in mind-set. Still curious about this shrinking world. Very conscious of our present gross footprint. Find electronic gadgetry a bit daunting in spite of scientific background (medicine)but now spent most of my life in the Arts. Theatre is & has been my all-consuming passion (and work)and certain forms of contemporary dance. I don't suffer fools gladly; detest snobbery, pretentions & affectations. Glad to leave England's class-consciousness well behind. I think I'm a loyal, reliable friend. I can be irascible at times, moody, despairing...but not for long. I can be sentimental at times though I hate it in the arts! - Why I don't like so many American films. Certainly to left of centre. I enjoy my work as (live)theatre director so don't spend as much time as I should in the garden. I have a little dog to which I'm very attached. I still love discovering new parts of this great land of Australia, by car, when I get the time.

PHILOSOPHY

Try to move with the times & not stay in one spot or look back with nostalgia at the 'good old days'. Struggle for a more rational world. Promote fair-play.
Combat the ignorance (seemingly on the increase) that keeps trying to take us all back to the Middle Ages.
