Overview
About Me
I am a gayfriendly person, and activist of the rights of the LGBTI population. I am also a historian and teach art and history. I like literature and cinema. I am very sociable but also enjoy time to myself. Like everyone on Couchsurfing, I want to learn about cultures and people from around the world. My research and my master's thesis on the human habitat concern the situation of the individual who lives alone and how s/he is perceived by the rest of society. I am fascinated by life and how we humans can adapt to the many different situations in which we find ourselves.
Medellin has undergone a tremendous transformation and I am happy to share with others what this has meant for its residents. I love my city and am happy to share my knowledge and experience of it with guests.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I actually just discovered Couchsurfing when I was showing a friend of a friend a museum. There we met a man from Italy who was about to attend a Couchsurfing event and we all went off to Medellin's Myth and Legends annual parade. I was very impress with the friendliness and good spirits of the Couchsurfers from around the world. Then and there I decided that I wanted to join. I want to learn about cultures from all over the world. I look forward to meeting people and making friends. I also hope to in the not too distant future to travel around the world and hope to be able to be not only a CS host but also a guest with many of the same people whom I have hosted.
I also want to share my knowledge and excitement about my city, Medellin with others.
