About Me

UPDATE 2024: I jus started a long trip, so won't be able to host for a while.

After coming very often to Salamanca for the last few years, finally moved here. My couple (María) is from Salamanca and we both love the city, so would be delighted to show it to you.

If you come during the week, it would be more difficult to host you but, if I have the time, send me a message and I will show you the city :)

As a traveller, I love to listen to the stories of my hosts and discover the local way of living. I also love hiking in the surroundings and wandering through the cities I don´t know.

Apart from travelling, I like to spend my free time reading, writing, hiking, playing futsal, and trying new activities. I have a personal blog where I write about my trips and how to travel cheaply: https://laeternidaddelviaje.com/

Although I feel like my interests change and increase from time to time, I love talking and listening about every topic. So, if you think we don´t have anything in common, be aware that I love to know about new things and perspectives, so would love to share some time! :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love travelling and meeting new people. I think the best way of discovering a place is by discovering its people.
I have just finished and interrail using Couchsurfing in most of the places and was fantastic!

I love the idea of being part of someone´s normal day at his or her place. Also discovering those non-touristic places and the culture and way of living at the places I visit.

On the other hand, I feel really happy showing my city and its unknown places to my guests.

Interests

Writing, reading, travelling, hiking, history, cooking, sports, etc. I also like the feeling of discovering new interests.

  • writing
  • books
  • cooking
  • hiking
  • history
  • philosophy
  • food
  • indoor football

Music, Movies, and Books

I like different types of music, but I like to discover new songs I have never listened to.

Regarding movies, I used to watch a lot of them before, but now just from time to time. Even though, I love historical films and those which make me think. I recently liked a Spanish movie called "La vida era esa".

I love reading and feel sad when I am aware that don´t have enough time to read everything I would like to. At this moment I am more into philosophy and personal development books, but I am also a big fan of those great stories which don´t allow you to stop reading. Some books I recently read and which I loved are 7 habits of highly effective people and The Monk who sold his Ferrari.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I did Camino de Santiago in winter, which was great!

Also interrail in 2023 using Couchsurfing... what a fantastic experience!

Teach, Learn, Share

If you are interested, I will be keen on sharing my experiences from the places I have been living in and the ones I visited.

I am in love with my new city, so could show you its hidden places. Also, we could show you the best places for cheap and good tapas in Salamanca ;)

I love listening to other people's experiences and receiving tips about their countries.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Apart from sharing experiences, culture and ideas, I also like cooking Spanish dishes so ... ready for a tortilla? (could also cook other dishes, even vegan ones)

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Switzerland, United Kingdom
