ABOUT ME

Hi there, I'm Juan Carlos, a passionate man from Medellín - Colombia, the city of the eternal spring!

Back in 2011 I've joined the couchsurfing comunity and then inmediatly began receiving travelers in my home in Medellín, that's when I realised about this passion for being an ambassador of my country and culture!

I've been kept involved in hospitality since then, in 2012 I've moved to Guatapé, a small town in the mountains near Medellín, after living over there for a while I decided to start my own business, an small backpackers hostel.

I returned back to Medellín in 2016 wanting to move forward in hospitality, then I became a professional tour guide, a profession I keep doing until the day and in wich I can tell visitors everything about Colombia, it's culture, it's particular and fascinating history and current situation. I consider myself an expert in all subjects regarding Medellín and Colombia!!!

I'm currently (June 2019) on my first solo travel to Europe, I'm looking forward to meet new people and have new experiences.
