About Me
Hi! I'm Jules (they/them), a queer, non-binary artist originally from Trois-Rivières, Québec, now living in Toronto where I study Interdisciplinary Art, Media, and Design at OCAD University! I’m vegan, sober, and a bit of an introvert — I cherish meaningful conversations and quiet moments as much as playful goofiness and spontaneous dance sessions.
My practice spans performance, installation, writing, and digital media, often blending analog and digital tools — think stickered walls of old computer files, retro tech like Kodak projectors, and lo-fi video work. I’m also currently exploring how cellphones, social media, and our attention interact, using autoethnography and art as a way to better understand my own neurodivergent experience (I’m AuDHD).
I live and move with a politics of radical kindness. Still masking, up-to-date with my vaccines and testing regularly.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love the idea of sharing space in a way that fosters trust, generosity, and openness. Whether you're hosting me or I’m hosting you, I value mutual respect, clear communication, and cozy vibes. I’m tidy, considerate, and always mindful of others' routines and needs — especially important since I live with two cats, Léon and Rémon, who’ve taught me a lot about patience and presence.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Getting up every morning is my biggest success.
A few years ago, I went through a deep depression that forced me to re-learn everything — from cooking, to walking, to talking with people. It was the most humbling and transformative teaching I’ve received so far. It reminded me that we should be proud of everything we accomplish each day, no matter how small it may seem.
Teach, Learn, Share
Just by being ourselves, we can teach so much. ♥
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can cook a simple vegan meal, teach you some French or help with artsy projects. I’m also happy to just hang quietly if that’s more your speed.
Let’s make space for weirdness, softness, and connection!
I’m not the party couchsurfer type — I’d much rather wake up with the sunrise and do yoga in the quiet morning light. That said, if the vibe is right and the music’s good, I’ll dance till the morning with you too. ✨
