Overview
About Me
I'm a Catalan-Italian writer based in London. I studied film and in the past few years I've been working with words as much as I can - writing scripts, poetry, prose, sometimes editing and translating. I'm very curious; anything that can be explained to me passionately and earnestly, I'll be eager to know about. I love long books, long chats, long walks and long cycles - but I also know when to give someone space, I take short showers, and I'll never mind sharing a room in comfortable silence.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've been a member for a long time but never gotten around to using it. This summer I've travelled around Central/East Europe and decided to give it a go - I'm glad I did, I only wish I'd done it sooner.
I made friends, learned about their lives and travels, the particularities of their cultures. I wrote down expressions, I got suggested books that I read and loved, was gifted poetry in foreign languages, I tasted the good stuff and the I-know-but-you-have-to stuff, learned and taught card games, shared a whole melon in front of a quiet sunset. A solid range of whys - still, I'm sure, more will come.
Interests
I write, read and cycle every day, go to the movies once a week and always enjoy a long walk - my favourite ones are usually in the mountains, but I'll walk anywhere, really, especially when I'm abroad.
I love travelling, as long as it doesn't come at the expenses of locals, their public spaces, their customs. I'm ok with not necessarily visiting, tasting, photographing everything; it's sadder to leave a place without having met anyone from there, so I always try to, because these are the kind of things that stays with me the longest - and the best reason to go back.

Music, Movies, and Books
I listen to a lot of different stuff. It's a big mix of jazz, techno, rock, Arabic jazz and electronica, afrobeats, the good old Italian cantautorato, and always, no matter what, an abundance of MF DOOM.
In terms of books, I'm always reading a few at a time and always adding new titles to my reading list. I've been trying to read a book from each country I visit; I've been hald successful but it's still something. Recommendations about books and authors are just as valuable to me as food and places to go visit in your city, when you host me, so please feel free to tell me all about your favourites.
Film wise, hard to list absolute favourites, so here's a list of a few titles I've watched in 2025 that really stuck with me - along with good stuff I've been reading.
"Man of Ashes" by Nouri Bouzid
"Ghazal el-Banat" by Jocelyne Saab
"Caught by the Tides" by Jia Zhangke
"Pink Narcissus" by James Bidgood
"Mais qu'est ce qu'elles veulent?" & "Grands-mères de l'Islam" by Coline Serreau
"The Rehearsal" by Nathan Fielder
"L'amica geniale" by Elena Ferrante
"The weird and the eerie" by Mark Fisher
"Strangers in the house" by Rajah Shehadeh
