I finally moved to a new apartment where I can host couchsurfers!! I live right behind the "Museumsquartier" in Vienna and I can offer you my 2 sleeping couches, first come first serve ;P

About me:
I'd like to share a cheese quote that I try to live by:

I love this one because it applies perfectly to my preferred way of traveling: I try not to waste a single day so I soak in where I am as much as possible but at the same time I'm interested in learning and sharing time with people as if I had all the time in the world.

Well anyway: Hey I'm Julian, I'm 20 years old and I'm studying medicine here in Vienna. Originally I'm from Innsbruck though.

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

For me there are definitely different ways to travel. One is to 'visit' a country, stay in a hotel and spend all your time looking at sights with other tourists. And then there is my favorite kind of traveling: experiencing the culture by staying at locals.

Through talking and spending time with the people who live there, one gets a completely different view of the country. And ever since I discovered Couchsurfing that's the only way I ever wanted to travel again.

• The music I listen to changes with every new person I meet but these are some of the few that stayed over the years:
Dodie, Ben Howard, Jamie Cullum, the Kooks, Red Hot Chili Peppers and the Arctic Monkeys.

• Way to many to list them all (I simply adore movies/stage plays). All time favourites: every film ever directed by Wes Anderson, Christopher Nolan and Luca Guadanigno + all of the Studio Ghibli movies

• Definetly the Harry Potter series because that was my childhood. Apart from that my favourite reads are pretty much anything written by George Orwell, George R.R. Martin and Anthony A. James.

• I can teach you all about the austrian culture: how to dance the valse, speak local dialects of german and cook famous dishes like Sachertorte and Knödel.

• And of course I'd like to learn all about you, your culture and anything else you'd like to share! That's why I'm on this platform: to learn from people that I'd otherwise never meet.
