Hi, I’m Julio. I’ve been part of the Couchsurfing community since 2007 — back when travel meant backpacks, maps, and meeting strangers who quickly became friends. Through this platform, I was lucky to explore the world, connect with amazing people, and live countless unforgettable experiences. These days, life looks a bit different. I travel less now, as I'm focused on raising my two daughters and leading supply chain strategy projects across Latin America. I work in supply chain design — helping companies improve logistics, reduce costs, and build smarter networks. In a way, it’s still about connecting the dots… just with fewer train rides and more spreadsheets. Even though I’m not on the road as much anymore, I still carry that same curiosity and passion for cultural exchange. Once a traveler, always a traveler — just moving at a different pace.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
Couchsurfing has been part of my journey since 2007. It gave me more than just places to stay — it gave me stories, friendships, and a deeper understanding of the world. Even though I don’t travel as much these days, I stay on Couchsurfing because I still believe in its spirit: the idea that the world is better when we’re curious, open, and connected. It reminds me of who I was when I first started traveling — and keeps that version of me alive.

My Interests
These days, my greatest adventure is being a father to two wonderful daughters. They’ve taught me to see the world with fresh eyes — with wonder, curiosity, and a lot more patience. I’m still passionate about discovering new places, but even more than that, I care about the **people who live in those places**. Cultures, conversations, small daily rituals — that’s where the magic is. I'm interested in learning from others, sharing experiences, and showing my daughters that the world is full of kindness and connection, far beyond borders or language.
