About Me

Hi, my name is Jurian, I'm 22 years old and currently traveling around the world by bike. 🚲🌍
Up to now I crossed 12 Countries and I’m just getting started.

I like to meet new people, to learn about their country, culture and their personal life experiences they like to share. And of course I’m always up for having a good time.

I'm interested in many things so there’s always a lot to talk about.
I love doing sportive activities like biking, volleyball, swimming, skiing, hiking and love to try out new things. But I also like non sportive activities (no worries) :)

If you have time I would enjoy spending some time together visiting the surrounding area and to become friends.

play the piano and was in band and orchestra for many years.
In my spare time I am also involved with Engineers Without Borders (in a school Projekt in Simbabwe) and the local Boy Scouts.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I live the concept of couchsurfing because this means real traveling to me. At the moment I’m depending to the hospitality from others. But I’m already happy to be able to give to others what was given to me.

I hope to find great and interesting people here, where I can stay for one or several nights, have a shower and maybe also to wash my clothes. Maybe also to show me the most beautiful places of their hometown and inspire me with their stories. Besides, I think this is the best way to travel because it's easy to get to know the people, the culture and the country.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like almost all genres of music: blues, classical, pop, rock, indie, hip-hop, rap, house ... it's all there. There are great and bad songs everywhere.

I like to read but I don't do it often enough. For movies I like documentaries, reports or action movies and of course the classics :)

maybe you have some good recommendations for my movie or book list?

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Can't quite decide, but I'll go with this one:
Before my trip, I worked in face to face fundraising and approached a lot of people on the street. I met a family from Switzerland in the evening who was mega cool and super sweet. We talked for 5 minutes and we were so enthusiastic about each other that I was invited to Switzerland to visit them on my bike trip.

It happened too many times that while traveling things didn’t went quite good and from the one to the other moment things have changed totally and life was gifting me the best possible outcome. If you’re interested: I have a lot to share

Teach, Learn, Share

I like to share my experiences and stories I’ve made while traveling so you maybe won’t to the same mistakes I did. I always try to make a difference so if there is anything I can’t help it would be a pleasure to me.

If you want piano lessons or need help with anything else, I'm happy to of service.

What I Can Share with Hosts

My travel budget is small but I like to share what I have as well as my experiences and travel stories and help where I can.
Who owns a piano also gets a small piano concert :)
