Hi! I'm an American human rights journalist, reporting on activism and social justice around the world. Learning about how people live and struggle for freedom is always fascinating to me. I've lived in multiple different countries over the past 15 years, and traveled to many, many more. I absolutely love to soak up a new culture — ideally through the eyes of a local. I arrive eyes wide open, ready to listen, taste, learn and play!

I also work as a music journalist (and I play saxophone), so I'm always searching for live, local music and dance.

Through Couchsurfing, I've met incredible people and visited wild places. I love this community and all it has to offer. Can't wait to meet you!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

When I'm in a living situation where I can host, I love to. When I'm traveling, I use CS Meet Ups to link up with curious and cool surfers and hosts — and I try to surf with at least one host during most of my trips. Amazing to see a place through someone else's eyes :)

But really... there's nothing I love more than landing in a new country with my eyes wide open and wandering around to absorb the feeling of the place.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Became friends with the rowdy sons in a royal family in India... then visited their 1000-year-old castle on the back of a motorcycle.
