CURRENT MISSION

I'm coming to New Zealand for a pilgrimage of heart. My intention is to get to know the people and the land and the old Maori culture. I'm looking forward to meeting people and sharing songs and stories, poems and laughs, languages and plants ;) I've been working hard for social and environmental change for the last year and now I'm looking forward to a more relaxed time of enjoying life and doing fun things!

ABOUT ME

I am following my heart/intuition every day and see where life is leading me to. This way of living has been amazing and I'm very grateful for everything in my life.
I'm a positive person who loves to travel a lot and meet different kind of people. Always up for trying new things and having fun. Interested in different cultures and ways of living! I have many stories to tell about my travels with locals in Indonesia and India and work that I've been doing in Finland! I also love quiet time, and just sitting by a fire or maybe in the forest and resting in silence.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've had great experiences with Couchsurfing mainly in the UK, Azores and Portugal.

Interests

Love connecting with nature, meditation, indigenous and ancient cultures, music, trekking in the wild and staying outdoors. I play guitar, surf and do capoeira. Also sometimes rock climbing.

Also yoga, ancient philosophies, alternative medicine/science, shamanism, QiGong and Traditional Chinese Medicine.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Workawaying (doing voluntary work) with local people and children in Indonesia. Just experiencing their friendliness and smiles was something undescribable by words!

Also have to mention the ancient fire ceremonies at the holy Ganges in Rishikesh, India!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share the joy and love of my heart! This can be in the form of songs or connecting with nature for example.

If you are interested of Finland and the Nordic countries, I can share how we live and how our ancestors used to live and what mythologies we carry as a people (such as Kalevala, the Finnish national epic).

I can also tell many stories from my life and from indigenous cultures related to nature connection. :)

And of course doing some house work etc.
