About Me

Everywhere and Anywhere, Everyone and Anyone.

I am a placid, easy going guy who has no qualms with anyone and tries to do good somehow by not being a complete dick. I think people have a variety of factors to their personality that can go outside of similar interests in film or activity. I like hearing about what lead to the point in which I meet the person I'm talking to, and where they're going next. I think of my life as a tatty old book, torn and creased with pages missing, it could always do with more characters and stories as well.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It's always nice to meet people in the midst of an adventure. Whether hosting, being hosted or while you're waiting for your next adventure.

Music, Movies, and Books

Generally I like any kind of music, from everywhere and anywhere: Turkish Psych, Polish Prog, Soviet Funk even Indian Disco!

The books I read aren't usually that thick, so I have a soft spot for Albert Camus and Sylvia Plath. Although I'm trying to get more into stoicism and romanticism, which in a way, are kind of opposites.

Some of my favourite films are: The Dreamers, 5x2, Man on the Moon, Bamboozled, A Scanner Darkly, Everything is Illuminated, Waking Life, The Science of Sleep, to name a few.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Helping deliver my dogs puppies was quite amazing. It's not quite climbing a mountain or an Aurora Borealis but it's something I'll remember for a long time.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can probably teach you how to play an instrument and then try persuade you to play a gig with me. I've managed to get a few of my friends who say they can't play instruments to play some gigs. They usually want to do more after the first hurdle :)
