ABOUT ME

I am 45 year old, friendly, smiling and creative girl from Lapland :) I have been living here for 21 years, I moved here from south-east Finland because of nature.

I love my hobbies: scouting, basketball, trekking in the nature, music (piano, flute, singing) geocaching, Improvisation theatre, sewing, escape rooms, floor ball, puzzles and being with friends. I love boardgames, escape games as well. If you come to us, I hope I have time to play something with you.

We have 2 lovely son and one princess (Saima 11/2014) , Otso is born in July 2008 and Aarni in March 2010. So our boys are teenagers and Saima 11 years old.

If you are coming to us, please notice that you are coming in the middle of active familylife with three kids. So, we don´t have always much time to our guests, it depends on our and childrens hobbies and other things. But you are very welcome here and sure you will see real finnish life and will be part of it.

I hope you have ideas what to do here on holiday, because we don't have time or possibilities to organize activities to you. You can borrow our bikes, sledges, crosscountry skies if the shoes fit. We are working Mo-Fri and in the evenings we have hobbies. I usually ask, if our guests would like to come to school where I am working as teacher, because my students love guests and they can use english, what they are learning in the school. You can come also to my hobbies.

We want to show to our kids, there is life outside Lapland too.

We don't have guestroom, but we have place to sleep under the stairs like Harry Potter 😂 Sometimes Aarni will give his room, but own room is important for teenagers 😁
If you want to experience some extreme, we have little village called Villa Hilla in our yard, not heated :D
And you can sleep there with sleeping bag. But we have mattress for you here inside :)

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We don't like travelling very much, but we have and have had many guest since year 2004. So, hosting is now more than surfing.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have been couple of times surfing (year 2005 interrail) and after it hosting very VERY much :) And good experiences!
