Overview
About Me
Hi there, my name is Kama. I come from Central Asia, from Kazakhstan.
While studying political science, life took me on an unexpected journey — from working in oil and gas to Vienna, where I worked at the OPEC Fund on development projects with impact in poorer African countries. Later, I moved to Paris, where I worked with the OECD, organizing high-level ministerial environmental events focused on preventing climate change, and with UNESCO on an EU-funded project implementing the mandate on the ethics of AI.
I’m grateful for the opportunity to have a purpose and a mission that drive me in life.
Yet in my soul, I am an artist. I sing, compose, and write. I love art, literature, jazz, dancing, and la fête, as the French say — and life in general.
Recently, I decided to step away from my professional path for a while to give myself the freedom to explore life differently. During this time, I traveled and finished writing my novel, which I hope will be published soon.
P.S. I haven’t used Couchsurfing since the COVID period, so I’m happy to be back here
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love experiencing the real life of a city, connecting with local people, and making new friends.
Interests
I have a wide range of interests. Professionally—and not only—I enjoy reading about diplomacy, international relations, project management, finance, and investment, especially topics that can be applied to work and real-life situations.
On a personal level, I am interested in psychology, art, literature, sports, spirituality, and meditation. Overall, my interests are quite broad and I enjoy exploring different fields.

Teach, Learn, Share
I can offer a free ThetaHealing session. Even though I only started in September 2025, I progressed quickly and have already done sessions for instructors 🥰 — and I even had the chance to meet the founder.
I’ve also practiced different meditation techniques that I learned while visiting Hindu and Buddhist temples in India, Indonesia, and Thailand. I’d be happy to share some of these techniques, although I’m definitely not a guru.
I’m sure there is much more to share and learn, and I’m always curious to discover new things. I like going beyond limits — why choose between being smart, intelligent, or fun when you can be all of them?
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can invite you for drinks, though I don’t drink alcohol 🙂
Or I could show you some of the best sports, artistic, and fancy spots in Paris. I’m also usually the last person to leave the dance floor 🙂
Vienna, Almaty, Astana, or the South of France are also places I’d be happy to guide you around.
