About Me
Hello!🌏
We live in Isahaya, a peaceful town in Nagasaki, Japan. All four of our children have grown up and now live in other parts of the country, so it’s just my husband and me at home.
Our youngest daughter traveled around Europe for three months using Couchsurfing. Listening to her stories inspired us to welcome international guests into our home and share our local way of life. We don’t speak much English yet, but we’ve started learning and are happy to use translation apps. If you’re comfortable with that or speak a little Japanese, we’d feel more at ease too.
If you’re interested in experiencing the beauty of Japan’s countryside and enjoying life like a local, we would be very happy to host you!
I work as a licensed dietitian, so if you let me know your dietary preferences, I’ll prepare meals that suit your needs. I can accommodate various diets, including vegetarian, vegan, and those based on religious practices.
We’re looking forward to meeting kind and open-minded travelers who are curious about Japan and its culture. Feel free to reach out!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Our youngest daughter received such warm hospitality during her travels abroad, and it made her so happy ☺️
Now, I’d like to return that kindness by welcoming guests into our home and sharing a cultural exchange of my own.
Interests
love Japanese pop culture and have read most of the famous manga series 📕
My favorite is JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure by Hirohiko Araki — I’m a big fan!
When my youngest daughter visited Italy, I was so jealous because I really wanted to go too, especially as a JoJo fan! 🇮🇹✨

Music, Movies, and Books
I’m a huge movie lover 🎬 — I watch international films almost every day!
Some of my favorite directors are Ridley Scott, Christopher Nolan, and Denis Villeneuve.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I’ve never had the chance to travel abroad because I was always busy raising my four children. 😢
But now that they’re all grown up, I finally want to explore the world — to see beautiful places and experience different cultures! ✨🌍
Teach, Learn, Share
I can cook basic Japanese dishes, so if you’re interested, I’d be happy to share some recipes too! 🍙
