ABOUT ME

I am an individual who loves change. I have had many phases in my life (be it the way I dress, present myself, things I find interesting, etc) and expect many more. Phases I have gone through include living off-the-grid in an eco-community, living in Berlin and the UK, backpacking around Europe, etc. Currently I am living in Courtenay, BC and am a Landscape Architect. Soon, my partner and I are working to live in an intentional community setting (with goats, of course!hehe). Yep. That's me. Well, at least for the moment.
My current life plan and adventures often find me with my doggo (Mica) and my partner (Shawn, a naturopathic doctor)!

PHILOSOPHY

On most days (I would love to say all days. But I can't lie, there are some days where I wake up grumpy and generally lackluster for life :-p), I love the heck out of life and where I am in my life. It is journey and one that I am happy to be on. I like to believe that I live my life in a manner which is closest to my morals as feasibly possible under the given circumstances. May you interpret that last, long-winded statement however you see fit :-)

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

Currently I have a couch open to Surfers in Courtenay, where we live. But this summer my partner and are traveling back to Europe after a long hiatus with school and the pandemic. We would love to CS with some people! I have CSed across Europe and Canada. I love meeting locals and getting to meet new people!

兴趣

Long backpacking trips, mountain biking, rock climbing, culture, sustainable development, vegetarianism, good conversation and philosophical thoughts, and dancing horribly.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I am continually amazed by the beauty of the natural world. One thing that always leaves me awestruck is the sound, the "silence" that fills your ears when you pause to listen while out in the back country.

Another thing that leaves me awestruck is how fantastic combinations of food textures and smells are!

I love to discuss how everything is a construction and a representation. I would be more than willing to teach you how to crochet, play the penny whistle, and the value in riding the bus all day long.
