Hi I'm Kate. I enjoy activities in the great outdoors, playing underwater hockey, eating good food and reading. I'm currently travelling through Tanzania then Austria and working at hospitals there. I'll be moving to Nelson in December to take up a job as a doctor and will be exploring the Tasman area.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
Excited to meet up with fellow travellers and locals in Tanzania and Austria who are interested in doing activities or just having coffee or a meal together :-) I'm only joined couchsurfers while overseas but look forward to hosting people when I am in Nelson (start of December onwards).
Music, Movies, and Books
Music - django django, fratellis, ratatat, bon iver, marina and the diamonds, some classical rachmaninov. Books - recent favourites were 'The Goldfinch' and 'Norwegian Wood'.

Outdoors: tramping (hiking), rock climbing, running, road cycling. Discovered the fantastic sport of underwater hockey in recent years. Eating and cooking up a storm. Reading Occasionally play the cello rather poorly.
