Hello! I'm Kate and I'm a 23-year-old girl who loves travelling but doesn't like commercialism. I live in a small village in the Czech Republic, but more often I stay in Olomouc, because I study here. I study special education at Palacky's University.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I was in Ireland in June 2016 with my boyfriend and my friend, who had found people who hosted us. It was great experience, so I made my own profile on Couchsurfing. I don't just want free accommodation - I'd like to learn about your country or go on some trip together. Moreover, I don't speak English very well and I'd like to improve it, so this is a chance for me. I haven't host anyone yet, but I'd like to.

Interests

I like physical activities (cycling, running, swimming, in-line, hiking,...), nature, reading books (especially fantasy), painting and drawing, going out with my friends and playing the piano.

My favourite movies are Amelie from Montmartre, Harry Potter and Tim Burton's Corpse Bride.

I really like some series and sitcoms, e.g. The Big Bang Theory, Game of Thrones or Stranger Things.

I love books by Terry Pratchet! My other favourite books are series of Harry Potter and The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Well, I took part in an extreme hurdle race (and I nearly died).
