Overview
About Me
🚫Not interested in any dating approaches🚫
I have a deep passion for traveling, especially when it allows me to immerse myself in different cultures and ways of life.
I love meeting new people, hearing their stories, and gaining new perspectives. At the same time, I feel most alive when I am outdoors, staying active and embracing the beauty of nature.
Every day is a new opportunity for me to grow, discover, and connect with others. With an open mind and a curious heart, I am always eager to explore the world and broaden my horizons.
In the past years, I got to know the most unique, interesting, genuine people through this concept - making friends all around the world! 😀
ADVENTURE SEEKER
TRAVEL ENTHUSIAST
PEOPLE LOVER
My name is Katharina, I am a world traveler from Germany. I've always loved to travel and to live in other countries. Right now I've been on the road since January 2019... What started as a sabbatical to travel around the world, turned into WORKING REMOTELY (mostly in Europe). That means that I'd have to work on my laptop in my host's place during the day (Mo-Fr about 9am-5pm) - please be aware of that. 💻 But I'm also on holidays sometimes, still exploring some "more exotic" places further away.
If you'd like to see and read more about my travelling, check out my Instagram (kats_steps) or my blog (www.katssteps.com).
I'm very clean, organized, and don't smoke but I'm not the biggest lover of furry pets (so please tell me before if you have any - it's ok if they are around but I cannot sleep in the same room with them), spicy food + onions (trouble digesting it), and alcohol (I don't care if you drink or smoke but I won't). Otherwise, I'm very easy-going with food etc.
PHILOSOPHY
"Life is a one-time offer – use it well."
- Make the most of every moment, seek adventure, and live with purpose.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
One of the most exciting aspects of my travels has been the incredible variety of Couchsurfing experiences I’ve had. From staying in a small hut in rural Africa, where I shared meals with a local family under the stars, to sleeping in the middle of the jungle in Asia, surrounded by the sounds of nature, every stay has been an adventure. And then there was the complete contrast—waking up in a skyscraper in New York City, gazing out at the endless skyline. Each of these experiences has given me a unique glimpse into different ways of life and reinforced my belief that the best part of traveling is connecting with people and their cultures.
Interests
I feel most alive when I’m outdoors, surrounded by nature and adventure. Whether hiking through the mountains, exploring new landscapes, or simply breathing in the fresh air, being active in nature gives me energy and a sense of freedom. I love meeting new people, learning about different cultures, and sharing experiences that broaden my perspective.
