Hi everyone, my name is Katharina. I work with people with disabilities all ages and provide them communication devices, because in my opinion, communication is one of the most important thing in life. Therefor, it is absolutely natural to me to travel and explore new cultures by really getting in touch with the people who live there. Being around people just makes me happy. I can be very talkactive but also enjoy quiet time. I'm a passionate dancer (hip-hop, jazz, contemporary and ballroom) and love any kind of dance. I even tried West Coast Swing with my husband. Even if I love to be on stage with my dance team, I'm super shy in showing my moves when I'm not in class unless there is another person going crazy with me.
I love to try new things and challenge myself, especially when it comes to sports. It may happen, that I totally suck, but I push myself to the limits. I'm adventurous and open minded but at the same time, I like to do calm things and relax. Sometimes, I enjoy only listening to a conversation with more then just 2 people, especially, when I don't have a lot of expertise. For me, it is not rude being quiet and I don't feel excluded, but when I listen, I have the chance to learn.

And maybe that's a German thing, but I really enjoy game nights and I love games at all!

Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin

I enjoy Couchsurfing because when I stay in a hostel, my hubby and I spend most of the time in the kitchen/common room waiting for other people to come, to chat, play games or just having fun together. We mostly travel together ad are very social and love to talk about almost everything. But at the same time, both of us can stay very quiet and just enjoy the company. We like to meet other people and locals are the best way to get some insider tips. They know the best places and what to avoid. And sometimes, they can turn out as great travel partners/do some fun activities together!
