Hi ,
We are a family of four, in our early 40's. (Jon (spouse)-loves to surf) and wife (Kathy-loves cooking and yoga) of 20 years with two of the most well-mannered and respectful sons one who loves making animation and playing old video games; and another who is a social justice activist, a wonderful musician and an admirer of Kermit the Frog. We live in Santa Barbara, California, where we work full time for the City of Santa Barbara and the University of California, Santa Barbara. We are eager to host traveling guests at our home about a mile and a half from the airport and a couple miles from the beach. We also can loan you beach items as well while you are here like boogie boards and surf boards. We accepts treats! wine, fruit, etc. If you play music or sing please serenade us!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We love to meet interesting people from around the world and learn the many different perspectives people have in enjoying their lives.

We don't do good with last minute requests and prefer some notice for guests to stay with us. But if it works for us then then great!

I love to read but right now I am consumed with Bon Appetit magazine and the like.

I work in Human Resources so if you need help with your resume or cover letter or in how to present yourself in a job. I can help you with this. I also cook a lot. My husband can teach you how to surf. My sons can teach you guitar and drawing.

What I Can Share with Hosts

We are clean, quiet and very respectful; we love to treat others in the same way we'd like to be treated ourselves. We are always grateful for a place to rest our heads and want to contribute to your household in a positive and giving way. We can also share stories about our lives and culture as well.
