Hey I'm Katie and I've just finished 2 years of working in London getting students and staff at a University engaged in sustainability! (clean energy, waste reduction, less meat eating...that kind of thing!) I've decided it's time for some clean air and nature so doing a bit of exploring. Previous to being in London I was studying for my degree in Politics and Spanish. During this, I spent a year living with host families in Argentina and teaching English - I've always had an interest in languages and cultures. Looking to have fun in life, challenge myself and learn new ideas and perspectives. Have found that often the best experiences I've had overseas have been due to the people I have met.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
I have used airbnb a lot and in many places and what I loved was getting to know new people who knew the area. Couchsurfing seems like a better version of that and so I hope it will bring me many wonderful experiences. Unfortunately, I cannot be a host but I hope that one day I will be able to share my home town with visitors and repay the hospitality I have received! I did Couchsurfing with a wonderful host in Geneva for a few days. I really enjoyed getting to know the host and spending a bit of time around the city with him. Because I'm new to couchsurfing you can check out my airbnb profile for comments from hosts: https://www.airbnb.co.uk/users/show/45764358
One Amazing Thing I've Done
I recently walked From London to Brighton covering 100km in 2 days for a wonderful charity, Tz Rising, which is a Tanzanian girls education charity - it was pretty tough and I definitely had blisters to show for it!
