Why I'm on Couchsurfing
I want to try couchsurfing for the first time while I'm studying abroad because my favorite parts of my travels have always been the people I've met. I like the idea of staying out the touristy areas and seeing how life is like for a local, even if only for a short time.
Music, Movies, and Books
My music tastes lie somewhere between indie, folk, and electronic. My favorite musician is probably Ben Howard. I'm a huge supporter of local Minneapolis music and the hip-hop scene here (I swear it's better than you'd expect!) I also love the classics (Bruce Springsteen, Bob Seger, etc) I do like funny movies, my favorites are Tucker and Dale Vs. Evil and Shaun of the Dead. I like books on travel or anything political. Anything by Margaret Atwood and David Sedaris
One Amazing Thing I've Done
The most amazing thing I've done was to study abroad in Oslo, Norway for 6 months. Living on a student budget in one of the most expensive countries in the world left me with some pretty entertaining stories.
What I Can Share With Hosts
I can share a friendly, fun (at least I hope!) personality with my hosts. I'm always ready to try new things and love to have fun! I also have my TEFL certificate so I'm more than happy to help with any English language/grammar questions.
