My name is Kavi and I'm from Denmark. I'm currently doing a bachelors in mechanical engineering and live near Copenhagen. I mostly backpack when traveling as I love the freedom that follows and the excitement of experiencing new cultures. I have travelled quite a lot but this is my first time to try couch surfing.

I like to spend my spare time on volunteering and have participated in lots of different Projects. I assisted descendants of immigrants with homework at a homework cafe run by Danish Refugee Council. Moreover, I've volunteered as a teacher at a primary school in Uganda and Sri Lanka and spent one month at both schools.

If you asked me to point out what I love the most about traveling I*d reply: it's an opportunity to broaden my mind as I get to see the world from a different viewpoint.

I believe that only when you've lived as a local for a certain amount of time, you've truly experienced the culture of the country. Couchsurfing is a great stepping stone to experience just that.
