About Me

I am a doctor living and working in rural New Zealand, training to become a specialist in critical care. My additional interests include simulation education and bioethics.

I am particularly keen on free diving, scuba diving and motorcycle touring.

I'm hoping to learn about other cultures and experience things you don't read about in tourism books. After spending much too long trapped in New Zealand, I decided that I needed to expand my experience of life with people who are open to sharing. I was recommended couch surfing, and so here I am.

"Be not inhospitable to strangers least they be angels in disguise."

I am always happy to host whenever I am available, and have little expectation from those who host me! I value the connections made above all else.

Interests

I have always had a passion for sciences, and I further pursued this at university in the form of a medical degree.

This has given me the opportunity to contribute to my community in a somewhat meaningful way!

I hope one day be able to travel the world with my work in vulnerable communities with poor access to healthcare.

I love carrying my camera with me wherever I go!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

While I travelled NZ in a van, I was able to park at some cool beaches on the east coast.

My morning routine was to wake up for before sunrise and put a pot of coffee on. I'd then go for a swim as the sun would rise, and finish off with my coffee.
