Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I travel a lot by car in Europe and use different modes of hospitality from 'Wild Camping' to Hotel 'Search Engine' websites.... Meet many people during travels and great way to find out about a region, its culture and places of interest and also accomodation in those areas.
I prefer to avoid "touristy" style locations and prefer to see and meet people as they live in those areas.
Interested in how couchsurfing works and a good way to get to see local places as naturally as possible.
