My favorite parts about travel are meeting new people and learning about other cultures. And since I can't travel all the time, hosting and visiting on Couchsurfing is a great way to do this.

My lifetime passion is writing and all forms of art. I'm a published writer of short stories and poetry, which have appeared in a variety of literature journals. In my 'day job' I'm a Manager of a Software Engineering team for a Fortune 500 company. It's a long story how I got to this role from a Master's in Literature but if you ask me, I'm happy to tell you - lol! I love films, live music, reading, yoga, hiking, and of course travel to new places and meeting new people/new friends.
