About Me
All three of us: my cousin(Courtney), my friend (Cassidy), and myself ( Kelly) are all going to be traveling together for a month in July! We are all so excited to meet new people and learn about new cultures in different countries!
Kelly Biles: " Be fearless. Have the courage to take risks. Go where there are no guarantees. Get out of your comfort zone, even if it means being uncomfortable. The road less traveled is sometimes a bumpy road, but that is where your character is truly tested. " - Katie Courie
"Each day is a gift... don't send it back unopened."
"Learn how to cook, try new recipes, learn from your mistakes, be fearless, and above all...have fun." Julia Child

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Kelly Biles : I love traveling! In the past I would always stay with people I knew from certain countries. I have been to Morocco, Austria, Italy, Luxembourg, Tahiti, Germany, and all over France! For almost every place I have gone, I have been able to stay with friends, and I have been able to see their culture first hand. That has always been such a blessing for me! The times I traveled staying in hotels and such, always made me miss out on what the culture and country had to offer. I just found out about Couchsurfing and I joined so I could not only travel more and meet new people, but also see and learn about their country and culture from the people who know it best! :) I love hearing fun stories, traditions, and of course maybe learning a new authentic recipe! ;)
Courtney Barnes:
As a new traveler, I want my first experience in a new place to be as memorable and submersed in the culture as it can get. There is only so much you can learn from a hotel room; the culture is in the people! I am beyond ecstatic to engage and share stories with new friends.
Interests
Kelly Biles: Again... TRAVELING and of course meeting new people! I love seeing new cultures and learning from new experiences. I have a huge passion for cuisine as well. I love trying new and complex recipes. Right now I am trying to master some of the French cuisine including: macarons, croissants, and french bread! :) I also love photography and simply trying to capture a piece of all I see in each place I go. I have been to several countries from Morocco to French Polynesia and each place has their own unique beauty. :) I love being outdoors: going for runs, hikes, biking.... anything to be out in the sun and nice weather!
Courtney Barnes:
My biggest passions are within art and design. I am currently an undergraduate at the University of Colorado working towards a degree in architecture. I absolutely love art and architectural history and I hope to learn even more in my travels. I also strive to combine my studies with practices of sustainability to create environmentally friendly, cheaper living environments for both future students and city dwellers.
Besides design, I love photography, music, hiking, and great food!
