I am on a beautiful island half way between El Nido and Coron. The public ferry between the two usually stops here, so not hard to get to, but is usually around 3 times a week. Doesn't make much sense to come here for only a few days, but still possible.
I am building a kitesurfing nature camp
I have many musical instruments so welcome musicians for evening entertainment around the campfire.
I'm on a small island with a community of about 50 people, half of whom are children, spread out across the island. Easy walk to the other side. Completely rural with freely wandering chickens and pigs, no concrete in sight. There is a local carpenter who builds boats and you are welcome to hire locals to teach you their skills (such as how to make a roof out of coconut leaves). Otherwise I have a lot of construction skills I can teach you.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
CS is a great way to meet people - either if you are hosting or traveling. So far I've only hosted, but I love meeting the people either way. If I travel to a new country I like to use the forums to research the country a bit ahead of time. Sharing culinary secrets is great too: http://youtu.be/yNMmy1xo2K0
Some tips on traveling cheaply here:
Great meeting everyone so far! Variety is the spice of life. :0)
meeting people, sports, music (I also play on 10 instruments, not including..), travel, lotsa stuff, like smoking doobies
Music, Movies, and Books
Music quite varied, movies when I want to turn my brain off, books mostly factual "conspiracies" and truth oriented. Not a fan of novels and arduously reading other people's fantasies, cause I got enough of my own.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Almost slipped into the cold abyss of a glacier in Alaska. Two small rocks saved my life. Otherwise the world is amazing, and I love raw nature.
Teach, Learn, Share
People I learn something new from.
What I Can Share with Hosts
My Tarzan skills at survival, simmering food on a carefully placed coconut fire to the sounds of my viola. Love jammin', all night long.
