I'm an International Public Health Specialist and a Nurse Practitioner. Our 19 year old son is living independently in Houston, Texas. I live with my French husband, Lionel, who is a Science and Math teacher, and we are currently traveling the world doing our jobs virtually. My husband and I are vegan (but not preachy about it!). We love learning the cultures of different cities we visit and spending time with locals rather that other tourists.

Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing

I started out as a Couchsurfing host when I was living in New Orleans. Now we are nomadic and wanting to try the other side of the coin, couch surfer. We love getting to know the cities a bit deeper by having conversations and spending time with local people, preferably over some wine. Couchsurfing allows that magic to happen.

Morceaux de musique, films et livres

Not much into movies, but love music and books. My favorite music is folk music such as Joan Baez, Bob Dylan, Woody Guthrie, etc. After living in New Orleans I now have a fondness for jazz, blues, cajun, and zydeco as well. My husband is French and is much more educated about different types of music around the world.

My life has been truly blessed. I've helped bring HIV treatment to Mozambique and Haiti, saved severely malnourished children in Haiti, and fought against human trafficking in Vietnam and New Orleans.
